Q. What range can I expect to get from a single charge?

A. Approximately 55 to 60 kilometres for 16Ah batteries and up to 120km for 20Ah ones

Q. What are the advantages of lithium ion batteries?

A. Light weight and sleek, compact designs with higher energy efficiency than most other battery types.

Q. Does my ebike need to be registered?

A. No vehicle registration is required for an electric bike with a continuous power output of less than 300W. (Class AB)

Q. Do I need a licence to ride an electric bicycle in New Zealand?

A. No - Our ebikes are classified as "AB" - or power-assisted pedal cycles -  where the power output of the motor does not exceed 300 watts. So you don't need a licence.

Q. Can I use my electric bike when it rains?

A. Absolutely! But crossing rivers or attempting to sail out to sea on your e-bike is not recommended.
